After spending the last 6 months researching and shopping bikes, I finally landed on the Yeti SB6. Not being local to the area, I searched registered Yeti dealers online and came across Unreal Cycles. From day one, I worked with Lewis and my experience could not have been better. Lewis communicated with me regularly, letting me know when the bike was ordered, arrived at the shop and then went over my specific build preferences for getting it dialed in to my riding style. Once the bike was ready, Lewis offered to meet me closer to my home, as he was going to be in the area. Upon meeting, he had a list from their mechanic covering all the detailed specs of how the bike was setup (i.e. shock pressures, tire pressure, what to expect during break in period and how to adjust everything back to spec.)
Peter also introduced me to several great beginner trails in my area and some bike classes that have helped with my confidence on the bike.
Because I am a novice bike rider I wanted several adaptions made to the new bike and Peter kindly obliged. I feel that the price I paid for my brand new bike was fair and he really went out of his way to make sure all my maintenance was done correctly.
Peter had awesome patience with helping me pick the correct bike. Unreal offers several demo's of their brands throughout the year and I took my time to try out quite a few bikes. Ultimately, they steered me right, and I couldn't be happier with my Juliana Furtado. They have a great group of riders that meet weekly for rides, and who have been super welcoming and helpful to me a newbie to the mtb scene. Their knowledge and eduction on maintenance of the bike and when and how to adjust the suspension have been wonderful. Unreal Cycles is a gem - this is why you buy local! Thanks, guys!!
I couldn't be happier with me bicycle purchase.
I have a bicycle and the rear tire wasn't holding air. Looking through Google, I found Unreal was just a few blocks from me, so I called and was invited to bring my bike down for review. When I arrived, I realized that they sold very nice, high-end bicycles. The staff was very nice, took my bike back, up on the rack and replaced the rear tube,straightened out my brake, replaced my 'flats' & educated me. I'm glad to see how community friendly they are and I look forward to them servicing this bike until I can upgrade to one of the beautiful bikes they build/sell, like a grey & green Santa Cruz I saw down there.
From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience and I am very pleased with my new bike. I also look forward to attending some of their group rides in the future as well.
I purchased my first new mountain bike, Santa Cruz Ultra light, from Unreal Cycles recently and the sales team was amazing. Peter was very patient with me and my lack of decision making skills. He was a wealth of information and helped me "try on" the bike before making the big purchase.
